Patients who come to see a psychiatrist are already harassed by life. They do not need to contend with traffic and parking issues. I chose to build my practice next to my home in a leafy suburb, to make my and my patients’ lives easier.
My patients and I work to regain health. For this reason, I specifically avoided establishing my practise in a hospital or clinic, where the focus is on illness.
I have tried to make the practise a “treehouse in the forest” . A confidential, calm space, connected to the nurturance of Nature.
